Saturday night we had Swiss night. I took part in the first half with chess fondue and alp horn music. I really enjoyed spending some time with the students.
But why not participate in the rest of the fun?? Well, let me explain:
When we have students we also have these frequent fun nights where different nationalities share about their country. While I really like to learn more about the countries of the world I really don't want to be part of all the games that we always have to play. I have had my share since I joined CEF and I carry an aversion against such activities. Playing parlour games is for me a bit like mental torture and can only be surpassed by worship songs from the nineties.
So I appreciate the food and then quickly hide in my living room far away from the festivities. One has to do whatever necessary to keep sane.
